Tilsia Brens, Piano performing her composition "Sollozando en Re Mayor" Gala Concert 2008, Merkin Concert Hall, one year before she passed away. Tilsia Caridad Brens, pianist, composer, teacher, and passionate advocate for the classical music tradition. She founded and was first president of the Association of Dominican Classical Artists, in New York City. On December 17, 2010, the Association of Dominican Classical Artists (ADCA) inaugurated "A Celebration of Dominican Classical Composers and Musicians," at The City College of New York, with co-sponsors CUNY Dominican Studies Institute and the Music Department of the City College. The concert series was conceived and organized by harpist Adán Vásquez, president of the ADCA. Mr. Vasquez dedicated the inaugural concert as a memorial tribute to pianist Tilsia Brens, founder and first president of the ADCA, who passed away last year. Performing for a full house, Adán and his colleagues regaled us with flawless renditions of classics of the European and Latin American repertoire, as well as two pieces by Dominican masters Julio Alberto Hernández and Rafael "Bullumba" Landestoy. To our great joy, Maestro Landestoy was present and was greeted by shouts of "Bravo!" after the soulful performance of his bolero, Carita de Angel, by mezzo-soprano Anna Tonna Loraine, accompanied by Adán on the harp and the string quartet La Camerata Washington Heights?-just one of many emotional moments of the evening. FARO DE CEE CORCUBION - A CORUÑA Localización: Cabo Cee 43° 55 latitud NE 9°11 longitud O. Cómo llegar: C-552 hasta llegar al cementerio de Corcubión. Después, tomar un desvío a la izquierda que se encuentra justo al lado del cementerio y la urbanización "Las Hortensias" y que llega hasta el faro de Corcubión. Cronología: 1860 En 1847 se decide por la Comisión de Faros la colocación de un punto de iluminación que facilitase la entrada en la ría de Corcubión. La ubicación eligida fue el llamado Cabo Cee. El faro se iluminó por primera vez el 31 de julio de 1860. Después de varias mejoras, en 1934 se automatizó. El edificio es de planta cuadrada, con cubierta a cuatro aguas, elevado sobre una plataforma de piedra. La linterna está situada en una torre pegada al muro sur.
