This was some work I did for my friend Mike Cannetti for his Thesis, "Cedron". He asked me to animate an opening for his movie all in 3D that resembled the original Batman movies opening sequence. this was among the top of the most challenging 3d projects Ive worked on. When I set it to render to video, I was actually able to go to DC for the weekend and be back before it finished. The majority of work in animating this was moving the camera throughout the maze. I especially like the lighting, though its subtle if you watch carefu,lly its constantly changing. I set up a series of lights above the maze to be constantly moving in odd loops so that at any given time the light is moving and never falling in the same way twice. It created a lot of great moving areas of deep shadow and bright light. It runs a bit long because I didnt have time to trim the speed of the animation down before his project was due, but its fun anyway.

I love much of Juan Cedrons music. I made this choreo on Mylène and treated it as a funky waltz; I believe it is a folk rhythm from Argentina written in 6/8 time (any help out there?). Mylène had been with us less than a year but already was inspiring us in many ways.
