VIDEO ILUSTRACIÓN: Monasterio de San Miguel de Barcena se fundó en el año 937 por los condes Fruela Vela y doña Totilde, bisabuelos maternos del conde Piniolo, fundador de Corias. Actualmente sólo se conserva la iglesia. Conserva una bella lápida funeraria del siglo X, enmarcada por follajes de tipo oriental y con adornos geométricos en el centro, y dos ventanitas geminadas también del siglo X.
