Son 36 nuevos kilómetros que van a permitir que Cuenca esté conectada con la red nacional de autovías. El primer tramo inaugurado comprende desde Alcázar del Rey hasta Tarancón. Esto permitirá viajar por autovía desde Cuenca hasta este municipio conquense y también hasta Madrid y hasta el Levante español, ya que en la ciudad taranconera podemos enlazar con la A-3. Además, a partir de ahora, podremos circular por otro tramo más, donde la autovía de Castilla-La Mancha entra en la provincia de Toledo. Será desde Tarancón hasta Santa Cruz de la Zarza. (28-04-2010)
