These are the two last steps of the Treasure Hunt in Mieres. In the Town Hall Square, we danced "la danza prima", as people from Mieres do on Saint Johns Night. In Requejo Square, we poured and drank cider... without alcohol.

Miguel, a Dominicam pupil, taught Cristina and Soraya how to dance "bachata". We enjoyed Jasper dancing "Polka 1". Lady Deni Gaga amazed us with her incredible dance. Again Jasper delighted us with his "Polka 2".

The view from one of El Batans farms - Southern Ecuador is DRY, so much so that it looks like California in September! This climate works well with coffee unless there is too much time between rains, in which case the coffee plants do suffer.
