Good article on the event here: www.chicagoreader.com Elia clearly regrets his ourburst. "I made some comments that I dont even know how they came out of my mouth, because they were not comments that I normally would make. Never in my wildest dreams did I think somebody would run out of there and put it on the air." 1983 turned out to be Elias final year as the Cubs manager. Many have argued that Grobsteins tape sealed upper managements decision to fire Elia. Grobstein heartily disagrees. He commented recently that "the tirade and my tape did not get Lee Elia fired - the team starting to suck again did." Whatever the case, the tirade is now 25 years old, solidly entrenched in the firmament of baseball lore...and is TOTALLY AWESOME. Enjoy.

Maqueta proyecto arquitectónico escultórico ganador de la Bienal de Montevideo en 1957. Jorge Oteiza, Roberto Puig, monumento a Batlle 1959. Un proyecto que nunca llego a ejecutarse. En 1958 y 1959 Oteiza da por concluida su experimentación en el terreno de la escultura y lo plasma por escrito en La ley de los cambios: en su camino de investigación había partido de unidades geométricas elementales y, con esta ley, terminaba el proceso en una desocupación espacial. En 1960, Oteiza escribe El arte contemporáneo ha terminado. Como todo lo que comienza verdaderamente, tiene verdaderamente un fin. Me refiero estéticamente. Como teoría y experimentación. Todo ello completado, superado, por la propia intención del artista al crear, que pretende que su trabajo sea una invitación a la reflexión más que a la contemplación. Fundación Museo Jorge Oteiza. First attempts with my new gibson les paul studio worn brown (my first electric guitar), think I need a heavier gauge and to raise the action a little bit cause I´m too used to my spanish guitar and to a really hard to play acoustic, so although it playsa smooth and easy, it still feels strange to me. The amp is a fender junior, no valves, decent for playing at home but doesn´t bring out the best of this guitar (even considering my beginner level), I played it at the shop with a valve amp and sounded far better. I´m playing a mix of Led Zep, Stray Cats, Josh White, Allman Brothers and some bluesy licks. Recorded with a cell phone.
