The Danakil Desert is a great example of the forces of nature at work, altering and changing the landscape. The Danakil Desert, one of the most hostile environments in the world www.etiopiamagica.it www.ilcornodafrica.it is part of the Great Rift Valley, known as the Afar Triangle, stretches north-south 350 miles (570 kilometers), varying in width from 50 to 250 miles (80 to 400 kilometers). Much of this extremely hot and dry desert is below sea level. Dalaffilla (synonym Gabuli), www.volcano.si.edu is a 613 mt high stratovolcano in the Erta Ale Range volcanoes. Formerly a shallow lake, the area now sits 400 feet (120 meters) below sea level and is covered with salt deposits, some of which are estimated to be 3 miles (5 kilometers) thick. Gada Ale (synonym Kebrit Ale), www.volcano.si.edu is the most prominent volcano at the northern end of the Erta Ale Range.. The symmetrical Catherine tuff ring is located along the SE trend west of Lake Bakili. Hayli Gubbi, www.volcano.si.edu is the southernmost volcano of the Erta Ale Range. This is one of the only four permanent lava lakes in the world. It is in North-Eastern Ethiopia. I made these recordings with my hand-held pocket camera in December 2008, and just joined them, without any editing.

Este primer simulacro de operativo, fue realizado el mediodía de este miércoles en el helipuerto de la ciudad y causó la expectación de los transeúntes que esa hora paseaban por el lugar. Éste constó con un helicóptero del cual bajaron dos policías, para de esta forma colaborar con la detención de un hombre que se fugaba en su auto, y que también era perseguido por vehículos de la PDI.
