This is definitely one of our most popular tours because of its great variety. It really is a great day out. The day starts with a tour in the National Park, The Sierra Almijara. You will have an excellent opportunity to see the wildlife of this unspoiled area. During the winter months our local guide Michael will take you on an easy stroll that goes on a broad path, while explaining about the history, nature and the flora and fauna that is typical for this part of Andalucia. When first arriving by jeep to the mountain recreation area El Pinarillo, the guests are served refreshments at our bar and restaurant, and then the guided walk begins. The walk is no longer than two and a half Km, but takes about an hour and a half because of all the stops made to tell you about the views, wildlife and all the local of herbs and flowers. Coming back at lunch time to our bar and restaurant, guests are then served up a delicious barbeque. A vegetarian option is possible if you let us know in advance. The nature tour continues in the afternoon, and brings the guests to even more interesting and beautiful places in the Sierras. Before the day finishes we will visit a fifteen meter high waterfall in which you can swim, so bring your towel and swimming trunks! During the summer months we would normally take you for a fantastic walk up the Rio Chillar and then drive via the national park to El Pinarillo for a great barbeque.
