Napoleón Nelson Pinedo Fadullo (*Barranquilla, 10 de febrero de 1928). Conocido cantante colombiano al que apodan "El Almirante del Ritmo".Hijo de padre zapatero de oficio y madre ama de casa que gustaba de cantar, lo crían con cierta rigidez, educación, para futura defensa en la vida. Así se inicia como técnico en la industria textil, después empleado bancario, hasta llegar a locutor de radio en "La Voz de la Patria", cumpliendo ya una meta. Pero el gusanillo farandulero que pernoctaba en su ser de joven ambicioso lo llamaba al espectáculo. En la Actualidad Nelson Pinedo radica en Venezuela, donde hasta la actualidad sigue trabajando encantando con su voz por el mundo entero.Rafael Cortijo (January 11, 1928 October 3, 1982), was a Puerto Rican musician, orchestra leader, and composer. As achild, Cortijo became interested in Caribbean music and enjoyed the works of some of the eras most successful Plena music musicians. Throughout his life, he had a chance to meet and work with some of them, and learned how to make his own congas and tambors, which are essential instruments in Plena music. Legendary Salsa composer and singer Ismael Rivera met Cortijo when both were youngsters, as they both grew up in the Villa Palmeras neighborhood of Santurce; they became lifelong friends. Rivera was impressed with Cortijos conga-playing skills and asked him to join his orchestra, which played at patronal celebrations all over Puerto Rico.
