Entry from: Porto Petro, Spain Entry Title: "A familiar visit." Entry: "After what seemed like an endless wait, my parents and four sisters arrived in Porto Petro this past Saturday to visit. The seven of us hadnt been reunited since last January when my parents moved with two of my sisters to Madrid. The other half was left in Buenos Aires, and me....well I think you already know. With the family divided by such harsh distances, the joy of finding each other again in one common place was immense for everyone. My sisters looked as beautiful as ever and my parents had scintillescent eyes when watching all of us hug and kiss. I met them at the lobby of the Blau Hotel well after midnight after their impatient journey from Menorca where they were vacationing. Unfortunately I had to work the next day so I couldnt spend much time with them, but I woke up early and took my sisters to the beach where we sat in the sand catching up a bit until I had to reluctantly go off to work. Throughout the day I secretly planned my escape from work but since Sundays are the worst days of the week as far as amount of work goes, I had to stay until 8pm. But as soon as I got off I rushed over to shower and meet my parents for dinner. We had arranged a dinner date with Eds brother and his dad at Varadero so that both family ...

Entry from: Porto Petro, Spain Entry Title: "Stormy Days" Entry: "As was forecasted by many people who have spent more than one Summer here, clouds and rain have stormed through the island during these first two weeks of September. We witnessed the first electrical storm just yesterday night, when sitting in our terrace watching the blinding show of lightning flashes and rumbling thunder. We wanted to walk up to the lighthouse to watch the storm above the open sea, but the imminent rain kept us from moving from our warm shelter. Instead, we moved the couch out into the terrace and comfortably watched as the two stormy bodies moved in from the east and from the west, to meet above Porto Petro. Just after midnight the watery downpour began covering our scenery in a thick fog-like cloud. The hypnotizing effects of the hard rain made us drowsy with sleep so we retired to enjoy the last few moments of the storm from bed. This morning the air was cooler and the sky was hung over from the tempest of the night before and even though the weather wasnt ideal, Ed and I rushed to the beach to catch some sun rays. I was surprised to see the water wasnt as clear and still as it always was, but rather dirty and agitated. Where there were usually no waves, now the violent angry whirls of sea water broke on the rocky ...

...NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART... For a whole week, from September 8 through to 14, Iker and Eneko Pou, who firstly came up with the idea of Red Bull Psicobloc, invited five prestigous climbers to join them in a 44 feet sailing boat, to explore all the south-east coast of Majorca. These climbers - each a top expert in his or her own discipline, yet still something of a "beginner" in this relatively new sport - scouted out the best cliff-sites on the island, establishing new routes or problems: invisible trails along this Balearic Islands reddish perimetrical rock.
