Boulevard Los Heroes is an important Axis in the city of San Salvador, El Salvador. Many shopping centers, hotels, schools, hospitals are in the vicinity of this important street. This tour starts near the end of the Comalapa road that comes from the Airport, through the "Hermano Lejano" monument, then the 49 Avenida (the name of the Boulevard Los Heroes in this stretch), the National Stadium, Metrocentro, National University. The name of the boulevard is to honor the fallen in our war with Honduras in 1969.

Here we are driving starting from the Santa Elena neighborhood in San Salvador past the town of Sonsonate on the way to the tourist center at Apaneca in El Salvador. We saw the coffee plantations and toured the popular areas. The weather in the morning was warm, windy and humid. The road and streets were clean and dry. In the distant background you can see the Santa Ana volcano. We are driving on a northern direction from the capital in San Salvador in the direction of the Guatemala border. The roads are in excellent condition. Traffic moves at the speed limit and the highways are modern and well maintained. You will notice the lush green vegetation due to the nice tropical weather of El Salvador. For the second video driving to Apaneca and Ataco in the coffee growing region, close to Ahuachapan and Sonsonate. see the video: www.youtube.com On the way back late afternoon, after lunch in Apaneca, the weather changed and we encountered a typical tropical thunderstorms, so windy that trees tumbled down onto the highway, and visibility was zero, all traffic had to stop. that was quite a storm.
