Dominican Republic - The Dominican Republic (Spanish: República Dominicana, is a nation on the island of Hispaniola, part of the Greater Antilles archipelago in the Caribbean region. During my most recent visit to the Dominican Republics capital city, I took a ride aboard Santo Domingos Metro, a sleek and modern mass transit system that debuted in 2008. It doesnt connect many locations important to vacationer or international business travelers yet (more lines are planned for the future), but its still an interesting and fun new way to see the city!
