Entry from: Zahara de los Atunes, Spain Entry Title: "Road Trip to Zahara" Entry: "This morning we ate breakfast at the hotel in Ronda and explored the city to for a couple hours, leaving the hotel at the 12 noon check-out. Then we were in the car for a trip to the south Atlantic coast of Spain. We ended up in Zahara de los Atunes, a beach town where you could see the lights at night across the Atlantic from Morocco in Africa. This town is not only isolated, but is abandoned to the cold weather of winter. It seems that most businesses, hotels and restaurants are closed for the season. We did fine a nice hotel right on the Atlantic ocean about the most southern and eastern point in Spain. As I mentioned you could see the lights from probably Tanger, which is just south of the island of Gibralter. The weather has been intermittant with sunny spells followed by heavy rain and winds. The seas have had reported 9 feet waves and many of the streets in the town are flooded.
