In 1790 Spanish settlers engineered a water irrigation system of Acequias, a system designed by Arabs and used by Persians, then when the Moors invaded Spain, passed the technology to Spain. Thus the water management system used in New Mexico for the past 230 years was first engineered 2500 years ago. These systems are effective and amazing, yet modern civilization, including agriculture and some cities are facing water crisis. New technology, new engineering and new systems are essential in this world today. While we value and treasure the ancient cultures and traditions, we also offer solutions for those facing water shortages and crisis. Desalination is now a practical alternative when combined with the mid size wind turbines, late generation solar panels and high efficiency reverse osmosis systems, that Wind-Inc.com, and Cornucopia-enterprise.com suggest. For cities, such as Lubbock, Odessa, Fort Worth, Lamesa, Amarillo, all in Texas, and Las Vegas, New Mexico, Taos, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and many other small and large cities, all that have water concerns, water depletion, and mineralization, with water crisis looming in the future, we can provide a solution to provide clean water from almost unlimited saline water sources. This concept can save cities and agriculture alike. If you are a concerned citizen, or decision maker, you are encouraged to pass this video on to your municipal, county, and agricultural leaders. Entry from: La Acequia, Venezuela Entry Title: "White water rafting" Entry: "After our great time in Los Llanos, we jammed ourselves back into the Land Cruiser for another 5 fun-filled hours of sweaty bums on vinyl seats, all the way to a posada about an hour from Barinas, just east of the Andes. Campamento Guamanchi was a great place, really chilled, hammocks all over the place, neat rooms and good food... lots of good food. Our mission here was to do some white water rafting and we kicked off with a quiet beginner session on the first afternoon. We learned the basic commands (forward, left, right, stop, posisión and inside) and had a few test runs down some grade 3 rapids. The reason for detailing the commands is important as we will explain now. We also had a couple of team-mates (a father and son combo) along for the ride. Yes, the ride, as when instructed to paddle, they decided that meant tickling the water with their paddle, and left us to do all the work. super. We finished the training and headed back to the camp for some climbing wall action and also a cool zip-line over the river. Some action to get us in the mood for the next day... Ok, so the next morning we head to the river again, after a dodgy breakfast of potato and leak soup of some sort with poached eggs floating in it. Hmm, hmm ...
