We had the albergue in Tineo all to ourselves so it was a surprise to wake up and meet José de Cordoba. Nice man, he accompanied us for the start of the day´s walk but went much faster and we never met back up with him. We are taking things slowly though, so we have time to stop and enjoy everything. The views were so beautiful, we just had to stare and stare and breathe it all in. We also walked through woods, sometime slippery on hidden rocks under fallen leaves, it seemed like there was something new round every corner. There was one not to miss: a diversion to the right to a very old monastery, "Monasterio de Obona" dating back to the 900s. Fascinating exploring there - beware hitting head (I hit mine!) on low parts. Lots of history to this place. Then carried on back on the Camino passing Lavadero (an old washing area - only cold water!) and walked on looking at green pastures, woods and listening to many robins singing in the sun. Arrived at Campiello where the renowned Herminia´s private albergue as she is of doubtful fame re the internet as being rather expensive. I believe you can eat well in Casa de Ricardo (also shown), but we only had a much-needed coke. We continued on towards Borres, a short distance way but such a relief to reach the Municipal Pilgrim Albergue. My feet were killing me after days and days of walking! The weather and views were so lovely I sat outside the albergue by a holly tree and rested my tired feet.. Happy moments! The albergue itself ...
